Tang Dynasty renowned painter Wang Wei (701-761 or 698-759) was born in Qi (now Shanxi Qixian). His father moves Pu Cheng (now Shan Xi Yongji. He is not only the famous painter, renowned poet, also is a musician. Once he saw a painting "Plays music Chart". He looked at for a while and laugh unconsciously. The man asked why he laughed. Wang Wei points at the picture and said :" This painting is  third chapter of "secondary rainbow clothes feather robe tune". The man then call musicians to play the music. There is no mistake.

But the Su Shi life has been full of difficult. Pushed his body into government when 26 years old, during 40 years he was attacked continuously in the factional strife. He was persecuted, thrown into jail, suffered the exile. Finally he was censured to Hainan, the island of today.

Few of Su Shi's calligraphy and painting works left , because some are burnt down in the parties and groups struggle. The drawing work spreads even less. Now his only authentic drawing  work is a wood and stone chart. There is a big stone pressing a withered curved tree.

Wang Wei is most famous for landscape paintings. In his painting "the Rim Sichuan Chart", the mountain valleys are elegant, the rain flies moves. Italy leaves are outside the dust. In addition, he is also good at painting portraits.

The painter in earlier Song dynasty respectfully created two paintings. One is "Tastes Sour Chart". There is a pair of old husband and wife tasting some kind of sour odor food. The image exaggeration was never seen before. The second is "Jade Emperor Dynasty Can Attempt". In the painting, the young boys and girls was standing. The wind,rain, thunder and lightning gods, are on the underground host.

The famous writer in North Song dynasty is also a great painter. He is also a famous calligrapher. In paintings, he is not only a painter, he is also the founder of the scholar theory painting. His scholar theory paintings had a profound influence to the Chinese painting history.

Li Cheng is a multi- talent and skill painter. His landscape painting becomes one of biggest three in the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty. He is even regarded as the first man in the dynasty. He is famous for the cold-blighted forest. The ink is exquisite. The enthralled is clever.
